Last week I shared some projects I made for Pretty Little Studio’s Cyber Monday Blog Hop.  I got a few request to share how I made the Mason jar snow globe. So here you go

Product supply list:

Mason jar

Hot glue gun

Styrofoam ball

Die cuts

Miniatures, such as cupcake toppers

Snow-tex

Glitter, which resembles “snow”

Old knife

First I cut the ball in half and glued half

to the inside of the lid.

Before adding the show I cut a slit in the ball

for the die cut to slide into

With out the “ring” part of the lid

I started applying the Snow-tex to the ball,

creating a hill  Remember the jar will need to

fit over this “hill” and into the “ring”.

I kept a step in the snow at the bottom

of the hill for the jar to fit into.

Without covering the slice I made in the ball I placed the die cut in and hot glue in place.

I continue to add snow building my hill. I simply just set the miniatures in the snow to dry in place

Once the snow has dried I carefully squeezed

the die cut in half to fit in the jar.

Once in the jar holding the jar upright

I added the loose glitter.

Once I had the jar assembled I wrapped

the lid with red twine and tied on a tag.
