scrapFit: #83 wish upon a star

We
are working out with the stars for this Workout.

We want to see a layout or a card that shines bright with
stars!

 We will count our lucky
stars that you all join in on this Workout!

Maddern #84 color inspiration

I can’t say this is my favorite layout, but I can say I
enjoyed making it.

This challenged asked fro stars.

Not knowing what I wanted
to do I played around with my Cameo.

I cut a bunch of different star things

{I was
going for a 12x12 star mask but it didn’t work out}
.

I found this photo of the
space needle I took this past August.

To infinity and beyond popped into my
head and I then knew it was perfect.

I used stars that I had cut out and misted
the background.

I went through my stash and found the fabric stars {I think
they are Jillibean}

I decided to stitch around a few stars to give definition,

and of course the ever so popular Studio Calico wood veneer stars!

If you want to play along with this challenge, hop on over to ScrapFIT
blog

The winner of this challenge will win

what christmas looked like here:

I have to confess. I am not a huge fan of Christmas.

When I was about 16 I realized there was just way too much
fuss!

Yes I am Bah Humbug

 In my early 20’s I
was a nanny.

Having Jacob around my house I got into the Christmas spirit.

He
loved the lights. So more lights I put up.

Once again with no kids around the
house, the magic is gone.

I even hate wrapping presents. But I do love to wrap
gift cards and such.

{I'm kinda obsessed with these old vintage light ups}

This year we Kevin and I gave mostly gift cards, and we made
fudge for the peeps at Starbucks.

I had a lot of fun packaging these things.
Hey its what I do best!

I started off with a shipping tag. I stamped a Christmas
sentiment on the stamp {not shown}. I then took a glue dot and attached the
gift card to the tag. With a piece of scrap music sheet, I wrapped the tag
& gift card. I then glued some greens {cut with my cameo} and sequins,
added a sticker and then tied with some twine. I slipped the tag into a mini chevron
treat bag.

 I then slipped the chevron bag into a glassine bag. I topped
it off with a raffle ticket that I had sewn a punched snowflake onto, and stuck
a fabric sticker on top.

For the main package I took a brown paper bag {you know old
school lunch bags} cut of the bottom fold it over and stitched a red zigzag.
After I filled the bag with the contents {gift card} I folded the top over and
sealed with washi. I folded the doily in half, and glued down. I cut the large
snowflake and reindeer with my cameo. I stitched mini market {October
Afternoon} to the deer. Glued the deer down, glued the snowflake down. The other
snowflakes are punches that I have. I punched and then sprinkled the sequins,
and viola.

For the fudge and peppermint bark, I simple took the same
snowflakes, and raffle tags I had made. I folded over the top of the glassine
bags and stapled it altogether with my tiny attacher

it's your life: amanda rose stamps

Amanda copy

Good morning well at least here in Cali it’s still morning!

The next 2 themes at Paper Issues are sponsored by some
really great girls who make “Project Life” style products.

First up is Amanda Rose Stamps

OMG these stamps are Fab!

Yes I have all of them!

Now you may know I have a different approach to “Project
Life”.

I print 9 instagrams from the week out on a 12 x12 and slip it into an
album-quick and easy!

Well these stamps would work great for this approach!

Though
I have not actually used them for that, I am planning on it!

I wanted to show how you could use these stamps, even if you
didn’t do “Project Life”

SO I made a card & a layout

My Card

DSC_0522

DSC_0532

DSC_0525

DSC_0524

I simply stamped the RADiculous stamp
on a scrap piece of the white wood grain {LOVE THIS}

with a bright pink Hero Arts ink bad

A
scrap of black & white chevron from Amy Tan's Sketchbook, a Scrap piece of
Bazzill {i think lagoon}

wrapped
the card with some twine from the Twinery {i think marigold}

threw
some aqua sequins on it, and I have this totally RADiculous card -get it RADiculous!

My layout

I literally finished this LO at 11pm last night,

so I had to
take the photos inside on the kitchen floor {lol}

I used the boyfie stamp to represent the love of my
boyfriend!

Products here are the white wood grain, the gold polka dot
Vellum from Crate Paper, and a piece of Bazzill {blossom}

The rest of the product is Fact & Fiction from Basic
Grey available at JOANNS Fabric

Also used was a Studio Calico veneer arrow, tiny attacher,
dear lizzy date roller stamp {mint green handle} and some sequins
