Bella’s 6^th birthday party took place on 2/5/11. Can you guess the theme? You got it! Alice in Wonderland. With the combination of my décor from the shop hop and reading blog after blog for ideas (sorry I didn’t do the research and do not have any of the links to give credit to the talented bloggers). Here is what wonderland looked like for a 6year olds party.

Alice in Wonderland Halloween `87 & `10

Recycling Alice...

I have known my BFF since I was 5. I have a picture of Christie, her sister Carrie and Myself at Halloween 1987 (I think). Christie is a butterfly, Carrie Alice in Wonderland and me well let’s say my mom flaked this year, I was Betsy Ross. Not my first pick. Any ways we are all in our 30’s now and Christie’s daughter Isabella is 6. Already knowing she wanted an Alice in Wonderland b-day party (did I mention I had a ton of decorations already) she chooses to be Alice for Halloween. Now it’s not the same costume that Carrie wore way back in the 80’s but grandma did make it, just like Carrie’s.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

Alice in Wonderland 2010…

Last August my store Sandpaper Kisses, participated in the So Cal Shop Hop. Our theme was Hollywood, “Lights, Camera, Action”. Each store picked a movie to work around for there charm, and MnT, and of course their decor. SPK choose Alice in Wonderland. The girls and I decked out the store with what I had collected through the year. Everyone got his or her picture taken with Johnny aka "The Mad Hatter". Who could resist.

My birthday feel amongst the shop hop and by BFF and her daughter visited the shop. Isabella then decided she wanted an "Alice" party. So when the shop hop was over, wonderland got bagged, & saved for Bella's 6th birthday.
