A  round-up of Irish fun

After researching for this post I'm now in the mood for some St. Patrick's Day celebration. And some homemade Irish cream might be calling my name...

One Charming Party

7 Mar 2011

st. patty’s day printable

It’s your lucky day. We can picture these little goodie bags tucked into your child’s lunch, given to your husband to take to work, or set out on everyone’s dinner plate on St. Patrick’s Day. Just fill a cellophane bag with whatever you’d like (we used chocolate coins) and attach this printable using double sided tape. Click on the image below to download; print out on 8 1/2″ x 11″ glossy photo paper or white cardstock.

All images and graphics ©One Charming Party.

DIY from Twig and Thistle

DIY St. Patrick’s Day Coasters

March 9th, 2011

No St. Patrick’s Day is complete with out a good Irish beer! Why not celebrate in style with these shamrock inspired coasters?! Substitute with sparkling cider for little ones and everyone can join in the fun!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Color Printer
Paper
Blotter paper or thick cardstock
Spray Adhesive
Craft Knife

INSTRUCTIONS
To make these printables more coaster-like, simply print template onto regular text weight paper then glue them to a thicker cardstock with a spray adhesive. I use thick blotter paper or watercolor paper which can be found at any art supply store.

Once glued together, using a craft knife, carefully trim out each coaster along solid grey line. If printed with an ink jet printer be warned that the ink may bleed when dampened. An alternative is to either print with a color laser printer or have them laminated. Sláinte!

bags of gold

I have a little DIY for St. Patty’s Day

7

I found these “gold” coin bags at Trader Joes a week or so ago and thought

they would make great green day gifts…

First I downloaded this cupcake topper pdf and punched with my 2” marvy uchida punch.

I adhered the punched out rounds to 2 ¼ metal-rimmed tags.

  4

Then I stapled some cute green ribbon to the tag

Threading the gold tie through the green ribbon and tying a simple bow this is what I got.

Embellished with a little bling shamrock sticker they are all ready to pass out on green day

simple and cheap - just they way I like it
