As you may know we left last Saturday foe a 5 week road trip

Some of the instagrams you may have already seen.

You kinda forget what day it is or really your name.

Oh wait I already had that problem.

 

Anyways here is my week via intagram, and this is just a few!!!

Cassie passed out in the motorhome, so freakin cute!

There was a TON to see in New Mexico

 

 

Savoy is half way between Dallas and Los Angeles

though we went to Houston

this is where Texas started to get pretty

ya we had a good laugh

 

spring flowers are everywhere in Texas

 

 

gonna ad this baby to my collection

and I managed to get a few extras

 

 

So freakin happy to have you for breakfast!

 

 

 

Yes this is Steve's and we ate there!

We bought a motorhome!

Keep your eyes open for us, here is a bit of the route we will be taken.

Houston, Missouri, Kentucky, back to Missouri Topeka Kansas,

and then back to Cali.

 

 

So I may not get to post

{ya never know when you will have Internet}

as often as I would like. But I will try to keep you updated.

WOW

this week I was so bad,

so lazy

so forgetful

 

Easter I forgot to take my phone and you know what that means?

NO PICTURES!

So disappointed.

We colored eggs & I haven’t done that in years. Really people, freakin years.

Had lots of fun though, and the color has finally come off my fingers.

I think the lack of photos this week is due to a glass of wine.

YEP

A single glass of wine.

Oh ya, had a hangover from one freakin glass of wine on Easter.

Man I am getting old.

I am really loving this gig

I love the challenge each month of the new sketches

it's great to be a part of a community, who shares the same passion

and so fun to see each individual's take on a sketch

 

tutorial: paint chip book

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last month with some friends I swap with the challenge was to cover a journal and make tags using paint chips,

ya know like you get from the hardware store.

So I decided to bend the rules a bit and just make a journal out of the chips.

I have only used my bind it all that I have had since 2009 a handful of times.

I got the bind it all down dusted it off and made some pretty cute little journals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

supplies I used:

-bind it all/coil

-crop a dile corner rounder

-wire cutters

-chipboard

-computer paper

-paint chips

-glossy accents

 

 

 

 

trim down your paint chip, chipboard and paper to 4 x 5 1/2

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

from 5 pieces of paper you will get 20 for the journal

 

 

 

glue your paint chip to 1 piece of your chipboard

{you should have cut 2 pieces of chipboard for the front & back of the journal}

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

trim the bottom corners of the chipboard & paper

 

 

 

punch the holes with the bind it all into the top of chhipboard and paper

 

 

 

match up the holes

 

 

 

Measure the binding and cut

 

 

 

 

slip the binding through the holes

 

 

 

 

 

place it all in the bind it all and squeeze

 

 

 

 

 

and viola you have a cute little journal
