ReplyDeleteWe arrange through the park district to have Santa visit us! It's so exciting to see his "sleigh" pull up in front of the house, and then he calls out the kids names. We are doing this again this year....but I can't wait....we are going to see him this Saturday!!

ReplyDeleteMy last visit to Santa was about 2 years ago when my boys decided they were too old for such a thing. I miss those times.
ReplyDeleteThe last time was a few years ago Santa visited my aunt's house to said hi to my little cousins.
ReplyDeleteI had a little talk with Santa last December and he brought me everything I asked for - so I am definitely going to have another little chat with him in the next week or so.

ReplyDeleteHaha - I always took the kids to see Santa but at 18 and 23 they refused! So I bought a Santa suit for Dh and now we do pics with Santa every year in front of our tree! The kids are now 24 and 28!

Every year I see Santa at a local fundraiser in our town. I'll probably get to see him this Saturday when I pick up my daughter from her volunteer time painting faces at this year's event.

ReplyDeleteI just saw him today at the mall....not a child in sight to visit him. But never fear he was looking at the items you could purchase ("santa" theme of course) he was organizing them. We said hello and smiled. It was a calming experience.

ReplyDeleteIt has been two years, and we were at the mall when my son decided that he still wanted pics with Santa and the sleigh... long line-up later he had his shot and his chance to tell Santa only a fragment of his long list:-)

ReplyDeleteHmmm...I don't remember! My Grandpa always used to dress up as Santa, but he passed away when I was 16 - which was 16 years ago as well - so it's been at least that long!

ReplyDeleteOur family saw Santa last year. We live in a small town and he comes around in his truck pulled sleigh down our street every year and hands out candy canes to all the kids. :)

ReplyDeleteIt must have been about 5 years ago. Our kids have never been great fans of sitting with Santa... most of the photos are of our kids crying and reaching out for mom!

ReplyDeleteI have no idea. My parents came here in their 30s from Taiwan, and Santa isn't a big part of the celebration over there, so it wasn't a big deal for us. I think there was someone dressed up as a Santa at a neighborhood party when I was about 5. My brother managed to pull his beard off...
