Hello Week 12
Yes 12 weeks of 2012 have past us, amazing!
Here is a bit from that week
Didn’t have any extra photos for this week.
Remember I Have a 12x12 I get printed from instafriday that has 9 photos
from the past week that goes in the page protector on the left.
I used Journaling cards from Kate Hadfield.
I went to my aunt’s house on Sunday for a sprinkle. You can see a few of the trinkets I brought home
I cut the arrow out from one of the cards
Above is a map my Aunt drew me. directions to the freeway so I could avoid the toll road
I didn't have any cash when I was on the toll road, so I had to ask what to do.
They gave me a business card and told me I had 48 hours to pay via the Internet
I kept it simple.
Didn't have a huge story to tell from this week,
but I am glad I have a place for the few bits & pieces I did have!

DIY Wednesday:
Today I have real simple DIY for Easter treats
OMG did I just say Easter?
Yep Easter is just 3 weeks away!
Items needed:
Candy Treat
Glue stick
Ribbon
White cardstock
Kate Hadfield hippity hoppity png file
So first I purchased the hippity hoppity file
Found a 2in circle template off the web {found online}
Opened the doc, dragged the individual png file to the template.
I then resized each image
Then I added the "to: & from:" to each image in the template
I then printed the template out onto white cardstock
I then used my 2” circle punch to punch all the tags
I snipped the string off my 2-¼ inch metal-rimmed tags
Using a glue stick I covered the punched circle with glue
I placed the punch tag onto the metal rimmed tag and held until adhered
After all the tags were glued together I added a scrap of ribbon with the tiny attacher
And viola I have a personalized treat for all my favorites at Starbucks
This DIY took me less than an hour from start to finish!
{all the photos and typing this post took longer than the project did}
Welcome to weeks 8, 9, 10 & 11
I have been absent from PL for the past month but here is a quickie update
and I will be linking up with one happy mama
Week 8:
Was a crazy week, but what week isn’t crazy. I used Kate Hadfield’s outlined journalers cards to document this week.
These cards are super cute. I printed them out on plain white cardstock chopped them up.
Then followed this tutorial to run them through the printer again to add the week’s story.
Since I was playing catch up I kept the week super simple.
Week 9:
I was out of town in between week 8 & 9. When I played catch up this past weekend I didn’t have time to add the detail that I wanted to week 9.
I just have bits shoved in the compartments, when I get the chance I will go back and finish up.
We went to Bisbee AZ. For a day and I grabbed some flyers.
But I pretty much added most of the photos and have all the stuff I want to add in the envelope along with the photo a day prompts.
I just wanted to show that I did document leap day, loving that this day got documented even though I never left the house!
Leap year png file from Ali Edwards
Week 10:
This week I helped coordinate a wedding reception.
I didn’t take as many photos as I would have liked but I got 2 of projects I worked on.
Again playing catch up I kept it really simple.
I used Kate Hadfield’s Outlined journal cards to document the tulips I planted years ago.
I still can’t believe with our warm CA. sun they bloom!
The top right photo includes my thoughts on a speech bubble cut with my silhouette cameo using Kate’s cards.
Week 11:
Pretty proud of myself that I have kept this simple.
It really helps when you play catch up to just add the photos and a few quotes, or journaling of what happened during the week.
My family won the race in Gainesville Monday morning due to rain delay on Sunday.
My dad {who is 72 and has an iPhone 4s} texted me his famous quote, and I replied back with my famous quote, No Answer from him lol.
I love the speech bubble journal card for this photo! I finally busted out my silhouette cameo out this past week {yes I have had it since thanksgiving sitting in it box waiting}
I busted it out Monday night and played like a little kid. On Tuesday Kevin came home from Florida.
Kevin was cleaning out his pockets when he got home and came across his plane ticket, and asked do you want this? OMG yes I do.
What a good boy. I am so sure he is sick of me saving this and saving that! And I summed up the week again on one of Kate’s cards.
I wish I liked to color or had the time and patience to color I think these cards would be so fun to color. If I only had kids for that!!!
well there you go, a peek into a month of my life...
well not everything some things are kept within these 4 walls, but you get the picture!

*not sure if I have mentioned this but I have these printed as a
12x12 and slip them in my project life for the weekly photos
So the past 2 weeks I have been busy, busy with life.
February 2, I drove to Phoenix to meet my family for a race.
We were # 1 qualifier, but that’s as much as I will tell. We didn’t do very well.
Monday morning when we left the track I would be heading home and my parents, & aunt would head to Bisbee AZ. My Fathers parents were born and raised there.
When we got back to the motel Sunday night I decided I really wanted to go.
So after the trailer was packed we caravanned to Bisbee. Spent 24 hrs. there,
drove back to L.A. and woke up Wednesday morning did the
payroll real fast then slept the rest of the day!
Then the days that followed I have been preparing for the wedding I am help coordinating.
This is wedding week!
it's crazy
on Tuesday Kevin leaves for Florida for a race.
I still need to finish up the place cards
We are in the final stretch and I gotta get my S#!T together!!! Lol
I am behind 2 weeks on Project Life and it’s soon to be 3.
But once the wedding is over I will try to catch up on all my other assignments.
What are you trying to catch up on this week?
