I’m just getting back from our trip to Seattle last week.
Kevin drove up on Monday with the dogs, and I flew up Wednesday night. Thursday
was my birthday and Kevin took me to 2 of my fave places. Starbucks and
Nordstrom. We ended up winning the race, and then we drove home. I am TIRED!

the weekend, oh to have gotten a peek inside

I swear this looks like a rough draft of my moms sea captain

My eyes glisten to see Starbucks at 8am Kevin’s glisten when
he sees this truck

Really Starbucks? You would think when you are less than 20 miles
from the corporate office you would take the trash out!

On this trip we rolled the odometer to 80 thousand miles! Yes
we pulled over to take this pic

instafriday: week 33

The weeks are just passing  WAY to quick.

I cannot believe school has started, and summer is like
almost over… the heat isn’t over, living in So Cal we will have warm days well
into November. But to think I haven’t even gone swimming! I’m just feeling old.
I guess I am though yesterday I turned 35. OMG really? Where has the time gone!

This month's theme is Back to school

Since Chalkboard is all the rage,

I used this magazine for
some inspiration to make my project.

 

I cut the Someday Vinyl wall art out of black card stock.

I
also used the outer edge of the 9-way die to create the scallop.

 

 

 I scribbled chalk on
the card stock and adhered the different colors be hind the black card stock. I
traced all the letters with a white pen, and “replaced” all the centers to the
blacked out letters.  I then went over the
black cardstock with chalk. I then used foam adhesive to adhere it to white
cardstock so it would have a little more pop. I’m really loving this quote and
have it sitting in my dinning room… Hopefully it burns into Kevin’s brain…lol

vegas/cha: part 1

 

 

We left for Vegas/CHA on a Monday night… No we wont have
traffic, or flash floods! Well we did. And if you happen to follow me on
instagram @aimeemaddern you saw the dirt and the rainbows and the rain and
maybe even a happy frosty!

We decided to stay at the Palazzo since we NEVER stay on the
strip when we go to Vegas. We are always at the track and barely leave to eat. It’s
more like we go to Vegas to watch fighter jets test at the base, and see “the
people of Wal-Mart”

We rolled into Vegas around 1am Tuesday. And of course the
strip was happening!

We checked into our room and they bumped us up to a suite…
UM OK!

We were a little impressed by our suite! So over course if
you follow me on instagram you have already seen some pics. Here are a few more
