Welcome to the Show Me Your Chevron by Paper Issues blog hop.
Chevron is all the rage these days. Everywhere you look you see it!
I have seen this image my whole life.
And to share a silly blonde story:
My parents are older and they always called this gas station “The Standard Station” cause I guess back I the day that was the name.
Well my generation knows it as “Chevron”. Just a couple years ago someone referred to this wavy pattern as chevron. I know hound’s-tooth, gingham, etc. I guess I never really paid attention to this “wavy” pattern. Until one day it clicked that wavy pattern is the design on the chevron sign! OMG. And everyone was calling this wavy pattern Chevron. Since I always had known the Chevron station to be the “standard station” I never thought twice till that one day where everything clicked.
Ok blonde story over.
I looked at pintrest for some inspiration for this theme.
Here are a few things I came up with
SO I want all of the above items!
chair//bedroom//nail//spoons//clutch
My first LO was inspired by this photo:
It was really simple instead of painting a piece of wood
I just found a chevron print paper and went from there.
My second LO was inspired by this LO:
I saw on the Studio Calico blog just this past week.
{i did a little scraplifiting}
I went through my Scrapbooks and I found a ton of LO’s with Chevron in them. Here are a few of my favorites.
you can see 2 different chevron patterns in this LO
using chevron as the background
using chevron as a pop of color and matting
And now for the giveaway…
Cassie at Paper Issues is giving away this Jenni Bowlin collection-featuring chevron of course!
