what is inspiring you today?

totally dropped the ball

I know, I know, I totally dropped the ball on Easter this year. I was loving the fact that it was so late this year, but oops. I did manage to get my treats done for Starbucks.

Just one week for the Salvation Army Mother’s day lunch. Can’t wait for this to be over so I can move onto other things.

Right now day by day bit by bit I get a little more of the shop cleaned up and moved into my garage! I absolutely cannot wait till It’s done and I have my official "studio" set up. And that means I once again will have an extra bedroom and dinning room.

Next up sell product and fixtures off.  I think I will get pictures and measurements of the fixtures and just put them on the website and if anyone is interested they can email me… Hopefully by summer I will have my “studio” and will be able to sell kits online and offer classes in my “studio”. Still anxiously awaiting the news about the design teams. Also have received some great advice from mentors!

I found this cute easter card here

 

I opened the image in elements and cut the cute saying out then copy and pasted the image into a template for 2" circles

 

After printing on cardstock and punching them out with this circle punch I adhered them to the metal rimmed tags

 

I then stapled the cute little tags to each package

 

 

 

and shoved them in a basket to be delivered

 

I also purchased these peeps since I did'n have enough of the double package, did I mention I waited till the last

minute to get the candy?

 

and these were a free download from Ali Edwards I thought I was going to use these for my tags but then found

the peeps card and had to go with that

Just a peek don't look at it to closely, you may find some miss spelled words! But I created it all on my own, well instructions but that's it. Yes I can finally manage to work the program Mark bought for me like 7yrs ago. Adobe Elements don't laugh it's like the first one and is so out dated. But it gets the job done.

So this is my creative resume, what do ya think, is it me?

constructive criticism

- Often constructive criticism refers specifically to the critique of someone else’s written or artistic work, in perhaps a teacher/student setting, that would allow that person to further improve the work or to improve their approach to future endeavors.

So I have reworked by resume, my blog etc. To make it more me! And what does that mean? Make it over the top. Go the extra mile, catching on? So that’s what I have been doing well that and junqueing at flea markets as well as creating new stuff. Oh and don't let me forget spending way too much time on eBay and the computer in general! My wallet is very unhappy with me right now!

creative team application

Today I applied to a creative design team. Just a bit ago I voiced how I would love to get on a design team. Well here is my opportunity…

Well what don’t we want?

 

Right now I would like to be on a design team. It takes a lot of effort and time to apply for this job. And this is not a paying gig. This is just to get your name out there so some day you might get a paying gig. Last year I applied for the American Craft design team, but I didn’t make the cut. I need to actually get some of my work published, so that is where I am today. I found some websites that list design team request, along with challenges etc. Now it’s time to get to work
