hello december: days 9-11

 

 

Last week was both eventful and uneventful

 

Monday, this was the only photo I took. So I used it!

Again using the cover of a Target catalog that came in November. I also used an Ali Edwards PNG for the faux “Polaroid” look.

I wouldn’t be surprised if every team member made these little houses for their project. They are so cute and super easy to put together.  I only had this one color of glitter paper so I cut the house out in pink glitter paper and white cardstock. The glitter paper was really thin so I backed it with the white cardstock I had cut. For the white snowy accents I just glitter them with a clear glitter. I have done a couple of projects this year with snow-tex, and thought it would be a perfect accent to this house. I backed the windows and doors with some vellum for the frosty look. But the one thing I forgot was the cute little wreath that comes with the house. I am gonna have to go back and add it.  I really enjoyed making this house and cant wait to tackle the others!

This month's theme is Thankful!

   

I was so excited to make this months project! I had been
waiting for the right assignment to make something with fabric and the
Silhouette!

I decided to make a throw pillow using Samantha’s fabric,
and Samantha's "gather together" Silhouette file!

Using the silhouette sewable fabric interfacing I ironed it
to the back of Samantha’s fabric, then cut the fabric with my cameo using one
of Samantha’s designs.

I then ironed the cut to some scrap fabric, making a pillowcase
for a throw pillow!

I am so pleased with how the silhouette cut the fabric, and cannot
wait to make more projects with fabric!

This month's theme is Halloween! 

I choose to make some Halloween ornaments

from Samantha's super
cute cameos.

Truth be told, I’m kinda obsessed with these guys,

and have been
waiting for a Halloween project to use them.

I cute theme as about as small as
I could get them.

They measure around 3x4.5

 

I cut them from black cardstock and then glittered them.

I
used Some of Samantha’s Paris Girl paper for the stars;

I thought that would
make them especially spooky!

This month's theme is Mix and Match Collections

I mixed Giddy Up with Traditions, to make this paper cone
wreath.

I used a 6x6 paper pack from each collection along with Element
Stickers

and a piece of 12x12 Antique Tile to cut the base for the
wreath.

 I also used some fall
leaf doilies I found at the dollar store last year.

I absolutely love how these
2 collections mixed so perfectly.

You would never know how different the two are.

This month's theme is Back to school

Since Chalkboard is all the rage,

I used this magazine for
some inspiration to make my project.

 

I cut the Someday Vinyl wall art out of black card stock.

I
also used the outer edge of the 9-way die to create the scallop.

 

 

 I scribbled chalk on
the card stock and adhered the different colors be hind the black card stock. I
traced all the letters with a white pen, and “replaced” all the centers to the
blacked out letters.  I then went over the
black cardstock with chalk. I then used foam adhesive to adhere it to white
cardstock so it would have a little more pop. I’m really loving this quote and
have it sitting in my dinning room… Hopefully it burns into Kevin’s brain…lol
